What we do
THE PROBLEM
You might never think of it, but HIV is still a huge problem in India! It was only after multiple visits to the beautiful city Dindigul in Tamil Nadu, South India, that Claudia and I were informed about this and the consequences of receiving an HIV diagnosis.
OUR SOLUTION
We provide food, psychological, and medical support to 152 children and their families affected by HIV;
We create awareness to prevent the spread of HIV infections and remove the stigma surrounding HIV;
We initiate activities that bring the children together through learning and playtime, raise their confidence and teach them valuable life skills;
We guide and coach the parents towards accumulating a higher family income.

How HIV affected their lives
Every month we share personal stories that demonstrate the reality of HIV transmission in a poverty-stricken area where the stigma of living with HIV is still very much present.
In May’s story of the month, we meet miss Karpagam; a member of staff at Massngo.org. After hearing her story and witnessing the guidance she provides to children infected with HIV, I have been touched by her strength.
About us
Claudia from Switzerland and Kirsten from the Netherlands met 10 years ago in a children's home in a very small town in a poor region in South India. They both signed up to volunteer there for 6 weeks. From the children to the beautiful surroundings, the experience touched them so much that they come back to that special place every year, as they have done for the past 10 years!
